‘House Bunny’ is a 2008 comedy film following Shelley Darlington (played by Anna Faris), a former Playboy bunny who gets unexpectedly kicked out of the Playboy Mansion. Lost and without a home, she stumbles upon a group of nerdy, ostracised girls from the Zeta Alpha Zeta sorority. Mistaking their house for another Playboy mansion, Shelley ends up becoming their house mother.
Despite the initial clash of cultures, Shelley uses her experience as a bunny to transform the girls. She teaches them about fashion, makeup and confidence, hoping to turn them into campus stars. As Shelley helps them navigate the college social scene, she also discovers the importance of true friendship and belonging.
The film explores themes of self-acceptance, female empowerment and finding your place in the world.
