Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, also known as Iyanya, a popular Nigerian singer, recently opened up about how claims made by his former Ghanaian lover and actress Yvonne Nelson regarding his alleged infidelity with actress Tonto Dikeh nearly affected his current relationship.
During an episode of the “Tea With Tay” podcast hosted by actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan, Iyanya discussed the impact of Yvonne Nelson’s revelations. Yvonne Nelson detailed the alleged affair between Iyanya and Tonto Dikeh in her book titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ which was released in June 2023.

Iyanya shared that his pursuit of someone in his current relationship was hindered by the doubts created due to the allegations made by Yvonne Nelson.

“That stuff [Yvonne Nelson’s allegations] is crazy, bro. That stuff almost made me lose a relationship. A current relationship.
“Before this book [Yvonne Nelson’s memoir], I was talking to one innocent girl who is not famous but immediately that book came out, everything became shaky. The girl was feeling like, ‘Omo, this guy, have you changed? Are you sure you won’t do me the same?’” he stated.
