Gaurden Jr’s parents are NBA YoungBoy and Iyana Mayweather. NBA YoungBoy is an American rapper who is known for his consistency in dropping hit songs. Born on October 20, 1999, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, NBA YoungBoy was raised by his grandmother after his father was sentenced to 55 years in prison. After his grandmother died, he was sent to a group home where he revealed he was constantly bullied. Gualden eventually dropped out of school in the ninth grade.
Gaulden first began producing music with a microphone he bought from Walmart at the age of 14. However, he found fame with his October 2016 mixtape, 38 Baby, which featured fellow Baton Rouge natives, Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates, and fellow rappers Stroke Tha Don and NBA 3Three. As of 2022, NBA YoungBoy has released 26 studio albums, mixtapes and EPs.
Furthermore, the American rapper has allegedly engaged in criminal activities which had gotten him in trouble with the law several times. On September 28, 2020, YoungBoy was among 16 people arrested in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on various charges, including distribution and manufacturing of drugs and possession of stolen firearms. He was, however, granted a $1.5 million bail after his lawyer pled not guilty on his behalf.
On March 22, 2021, YoungBoy was again arrested by American federal agents in Los Angeles executing a federal warrant stemming from his September 2020 arrest in Baton Rouge. He was charged on March 9, 2023, and was sentenced to house arrest. However, he is allowed to have more than three visitors at a time without a curfew restriction.

Iyana Mayweather
Gaurden Jr’s mother, Iyana Mayweather, also known as Yaya. is the daughter of former professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Both YoungBoy and Yaya were reportedly in an abusive relationship while it lasted. The couple got engaged in 2020. However, hell was let loose when Yaya went to YoungBoy’s home and caught him with Lapattra Jacobs, who was allegedly pregnant with the rapper’s child. An altercation in the kitchen of the rapper’s Houston home led to Yaya stabbing Lapattra twice with two knives.
During her short stay in prison, she reconnected with NBA YoungBoy and conceived their child. In April 2022, she pleaded guilty to a felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to six years probation with the possibility of community service and restitution.
