A white lady (oyinbo) has lamented the rate at which internet fraudsters, popularly called Yahoo boys, message her.
In a TikTok video, @joannaorou claimed that she meets over 100 emails from Yahoo boys every time she wakes up, which is more than the ones she receives from people she knows.

According to her, some of the fraudsters claim to work for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
