A Nigerian lady has revealed that her friend was fired and lost her sponsorship due to a controversial conversation she had with colleagues about gays.

Oyinda took to her Twitter account on Monday to express her shock and anger over her friend’s sudden dismissal from her job.

Many Twitter users expressed their support for Oyinda’s friend, arguing that termination over personal beliefs may be a violation of freedom of speech, while others condemned the alleged homophobic remarks, emphasizing the importance of creating inclusive work environments.
