The video of controversial activist and social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, appearing in court before his reported release on bail has gone viral.

In the video that has been blowing up on Instagram, VeryDarkMan was shown with his lawyers as they walked to court for the case that he was remanded for.
He told the man recording and hailing him to stop recording and the man laughed. The video showed the activist warning that he would hit the man on the head for not following instructions, while also gesturing with his hand on his ear.

Afterwards, VeryDarkMan was said to have been granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja. The controversial social media critic was facing charges related to cyberbullying and was arraigned on May 22.
VeryDarkMan’s arrest came after he posted alleged offensive videos on his Instagram account, making indecent allegations against prominent figures such as Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh.
The charges against him included the dissemination of content that was deemed “grossly offensive, pornographic, or of an indecent, obscene, or menacing character.”
During the court proceedings, VeryDarkMan denied all the charges brought against him. The prosecution sought his remand in prison, while his legal team requested that he remains in police custody. Ultimately, the court approved the defense’s request, leading to his transfer to the National Cybercrime Centre.
According to reports, VeryDarkMan was released from police custody on Monday after meeting the bail conditions. However, the specific details of his bail conditions have not been disclosed to the public at this time.
It is worth noting that VeryDarkMan had previously been arrested on March 22 but was released on March 31. The initial arrest was based on complaints filed by Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo, and Samklef.
