Upcoming artists in Nigeria mostly sing about women - Twitter user

Two Twitter users have sparked an online debate on how upcoming artists in Nigeria mostly sing about women.

One of them, identified as Ita, had taken to his page to ask why upcoming artists like singing about women.

According to him, it’s time they started doing “something different and more creative”.

“My question is, why upcoming artiste sef dey like sing about women women women for afro?… Pls it’s time they do something different and creative… This includes Paraboy Nephi aje,” he tweeted.

Another user, Seun Olatunji, agreed with his view, asserting that artists like Rema, Ruger, Khaid, Crayon and others would not have any songs in their catalogues if you remove the subject of women. However, he had reservations about adding Paraboy Nephi to the list of such artists.

“If you remove women, Rema, Ruger, Khaid, Crayon etc won’t have any song on their catalogue but it is Paraboy Nephi you want to bvlly, Okay,” he tweeted.
