Victor Osimhen of the Super Eagles will have another chance to test himself against the finest clubs in Europe after his Napoli team was drawn against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League draw for the 2023/24 season. 

Arsenal and Manchester United had different draws, with the North London club drawn in a relatively easy group, while Manchester United will have to play two legs against German powerhouse Bayern Munich.

The headline of the draw saw French champions Paris Saint-Germain drawn alongside Borussia Dortmund, Italian heavyweights AC Milan, and English dark horses Newcastle United in the group of death, Group F.

Confirmed UCL 2023-24 groups

Group A: Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

Group B: Sevilla, Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven and Lens.

Group C: Napoli, Real Madrid, SC Braga and Union Berlin.

Group D: Benfica, Inter, Red Bull Salzburg and Real Sociedad.

Group E: Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, Lazio and Celtic.

Group F: Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Milan and Newcastle United.

Group G: Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys.

Group H: Barcelona, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk and Antwerp.

Christian Pulisic of the United States men’s national team and new Magpies sensation Sandro Tonali have both been thrown into the mix, making it possibly the group to watch when you factor in a BVB side that thrives on big European nights.

Yunus Musah of Milan and Gio Reyna of Dortmund are two additional Americans in the group.

In other news, Group A featured Bayern Munich and Manchester United, while Group C had Napoli and Real Madrid. Manchester City and RB Leipzig play again in Group G, while Inter and Benfica met in a quarterfinal last season in Group D.

Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona, on the other hand, should be particularly pleased with their draws because they provide them with favourable roads to the final rounds.
