The Champions League draw for the 2024/25 season has been finalized, and it promises some thrilling matchups for the four Premier League teams involved.
This year’s tournament introduces a new “Swiss model” format, replacing the traditional group stage with a single league table featuring 36 teams. Each team will play eight matches against different opponents, four at home and four away.

The top eight teams in the league will automatically advance to the knockout stage, while those finishing between 9th and 24th will enter a playoff round.
The bottom 12 teams, finishing between 25th and 36th, will be eliminated from the competition once the league phase wraps up in January. The playoff winners will then join the top eight in the last-16.

While the mechanics of the draw are complex, involving teams drawn from four pots and fixtures generated by a computer, the outcome has delivered some mouth-watering clashes.
Arsenal and Manchester City both face off against PSG, Liverpool will host Real Madrid at Anfield, and Aston Villa is set for a nostalgic encounter with Bayern Munich, recalling the 1982 European Cup final.
