Paris Saint Germain defeated Juventus in their opening Group H game of the Champions League on Tuesday evening at the Parc des Princes.

Kylian Mbappe put the French giants ahead in the fifth minute before doubling the lead in the 22nd minute.

Juventus pulled one back in the 53rd minute through Weston McKennie.

In the other Group H game, Benfica defeated Maccabi Haifa 2-0.

Group E

Chelsea replicated their poor Premier League form in the Champions League losing 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb. Mislav Orsic was the scorer in the 13th minute after he outran Wesley Fofana and slotted past Kepa Arizabalaga.

In another game in the group, RB Salzburg held AC Milan to a 1-1 draw. Noah Okafor scored for the Austrian club in the 28th minute before Alexis Saelemaekers levelled for the Italian outfit.

Group F

Celtic lost 3-0 to defending champions Real Madrid at home. Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard were the scorers in the 56th, 60th and 77th minutes.

In the other game, RB Leipzig were torn apart 4-1 by Shakhtar Donetsk. Maryan Shved scored a brace while Mykhailo Mudryk and Lassina Franck Traore scored the third and fourth goals for the Ukrainian side, while Mohamed Simikan scored Leipzig’s only goal.

Group G

Borussia Dortmund were 3-0 winners over FC Copenhagen. Marco Reus, Raphael Guerreiro, and Jude Bellingham scored for the German side.

Erling Haaland was on song again in Spain as he grabbed a brace in Manchester City’s demolition of Sevilla. The Norwegian dangerman became the first player to score 25 goals in his first 20 Champions League games.

Phil Foden and Ruben Dias completed the rout as the Premier League giants crushed their hosts 4-0.
