In a video circulating on X, Dammy Krane mentioned that a Korean artist, who sang Gangnam Style, did not forget his K-pop roots. Therefore, there is no need for Wizkid to disown Afrobeats just because he sang Essence and labeled it as RnB.

Recall that Wizkid went on a rant on his Instagram stories to denounce Afrobeats and said no one should expect to hear Afrobeats in his upcoming album.
