Nollywood actor, Stan Nze has defended his wife, Blessing Obasi, after a social media troll criticized her for using her maiden name instead of adopting his surname.
The troll, identified as Orietan Honour, suggested that Blessing’s decision to retain her surname on social media indicates a lack of respect for her marriage.

In a comment, Honour stated, “Blessing, it’s unwise not to have ‘Nze,’ your husband’s surname, on all your media handles. This speaks volumes about marital respect. You would not find it hard to change to your husband’s surname if you truly love and respect him. Avoid being a 21st-century kind of wife in character and mentality. Think smart to protect your home.”
Stan Nze swiftly responded, urging the troll to focus on his own life, saying, “It’s unwise to be in people’s businesses. Please mind your business.”
Blessing also chimed in with an affectionate response to her husband, posting, “@stannze My KING DIM OMA,” further showcasing their strong bond amid the online scrutiny.
Netizens react:
@Akan: “He has a point, as an African man, your wife should take your name”
@Precious: “I’m surprised why people can’t mind thier business”
@Edem: “I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want to do. If she doesn’t want to take his name, as long as he’s not complaining, nobody should”
@Oyo_Alabi: “It surprising that people can’t face their problems and leave other people alone”
@Estherowan: “People can’t even mind thier business again in this world”
