Appearing as guests on the Ebro Show, ShowDemCamp was asked about the kind of music they make, in the light of ongoing conversation about who makes Afrobeats and who doesn’t.

Tec disclosed that theirs is an African version of hip-hop.

“What we (ShowDemCamp) find interesting was doing an African version of hip-hop and people were able to identify the music behind it,” he said.

He added that they were able to work with younger talents before they became big.

“…we identify dope young talent super early. So we worked with Tems super early, we worked with Burna Boy early,” he said.

Tec finished off by saying that he doesn’t mind if anyone makes Afrobeats or not, he is just happy to see Nigerian music take the global stage.

“And to see where everybody from that class is right now is super interesting. I’m not mad whether it’s Afrobeats or not, if the music is resonating and traveling around the world it’s fine by me,” he said.
