A young Nigerian man who saw himself through school from the proceeds of his newspaper vendor business has graduated.
The man identified as Ahmed Ganiu Aderemi has also commenced the compulsory one-year National Youth Service Corps programme.
Ahmed’s friend, identified as Gbeba Gbobe on Facebook shared the emotional story of his struggle as a newspaper vendor and progression to further his studies.

According to Gbeba, he was a 400-level student when he met Ahmed in 2016.
Gbeba said Ahmed was so kind to him each time he visited his newspaper stand to get updates in the news.
He said it is on one of those occasions that he introduced himself as a student to Ahmed and they bonded from then on.
Ahmed then shared his desire to further his education at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun state.
His goals were greeted with some words of encouragement from Gbeba who told him he could achieve it.
Gbeba explained that he was glad to hear of Ahmed’s achievements as he had bothcompleted his OND & HND.
The one time newspaper vendor has not just fulfilled his academic dreams but is potentially on his way to achieve greatness.

Meanwhile, a young Nigerian man whose mother took him to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp as an infant has returned to serve his country as an adult.
The young man, named Ayo Kunle, after graduating from the university and getting his khakis, returned to specially honour her.

When she went through her youth service, his mother, a nursing mother, took the then-little Ayo Kunle with her to camp with her.
