Arise News anchor, Rufai Oseni, has stated that a person residing in Lagos won’t be able to run a family with a salary range of N400,000 to N600,000.
The journalist said this on Monday during Arise News morning show while speaking on the high price of the petrol from Dangote refinery.
According to Oseni, with the current state of the economy, N600,000 salary won’t be enough for a Nigerian living in Lagos to run a family.

“What was the madness about the pricing? Today Dangote said it sold at a certain price, NNPC is saying it carried at another price. What is madness going on? Who is trying to cheat Nigerians? All of a sudden, with the NNPC Pricing template they released, do you know that petrol price has increased by over N100 in a space of one day? Who are going to buy it? The suffering Nigerians?
“The N70, 000 for minimum wage is already gone…I did the maths recently. If you earn N400, 000 in this country, you can’t run a family again. If you earn N500, 000, you can’t run a family. If you earn N600, 000, you can hardly run a family if you live in Lagos,” Oseni said.
