Bright Nigerian student graduate with first class in Mechanical Engineering, receives royal award

A bright Nigerian student, Adejumo Oluwapelumi Oluwaseyi, has been awarded the best-graduating student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti (FUOYE).

Oluwapelumi bagged a first-class with an impressive CGPA of 4.92. His academic success meant he was among only 91 students who graduated with first-class honours at the 7th convocation ceremony of the institution held on Saturday, 11th February 2023.

Confirmation of his degree is contained in a Statement of Result signed by the Registrar, Mufutau Ibrahim dated 10th February 2023.

Oluwapelumi’s brilliance also earned him the award of His Royal Majesty, Oba Sir Olufemi Aribisala (the Alaaye of Oke-Ayedu, Ekiti, Obembe 1).

The fresh graduate excitedly shared the news via his Twitter handle on Sunday, 12th February 2023, where he solicited scholarship and employment opportunities.

In his post, he said;

“I just graduated as the best-graduating student in my department, Department of Mechanical Engineering and best in engineering faculty from FUOYE with a CGPA of 4.92/5.00.

I am open to scholarship and employment opportunities.”

Nigerian lady wins 8 awards, emerges best-graduating student

Meanwhile, congratulations have continued to pour in for a brilliant Nigerian lady who won numerous awards on completing her undergraduate studies.

The lady, identified simply as Moyin, shared on Twitter her amazing story of achieving such a feat.

After 4 years of rigorous and diligent study, Moyin reaped the dividends of her labour and graduated with first-class honours.

Moyin revealed that she studied Economics at Babcock University, Ogun state, Nigeria, where she also emerged as the best-graduating student.

The first-class graduate shared pictures of the 8 awards she won and the medal of honour she was given during her graduation ceremony.
