Napoli striker Victor Osimhen was named along with Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi and Manchester City dangerman Erling Haaland on the 2023 Ballon d’Or nominees list.
The Super Eagles man hit 26 goals for the Partenopei as they won their first Scudetto in 33 years.
He will faceoff with Haaland, who scored 36 goals in the Premier League and helped City win the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
The 2023 nominees were revealed on Wednesday by the award organizers ahead of the ceremony in Paris on October 30, 2023.
