Yoruba actor, Adams Kehinde, popularly called Lege Miami, has sparked reactions on social media over his appeal to the founder of Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, about schools owned by the church.
In a video Lege shared on his Instagram page, he said most of RCCG members can’t afford the fees of the church’s university.

He claimed that a member of the church who attends Redeemed Church reached out to him, begging for assistance to pay school fees.
Lege appealed to Pastor Adeboye to make the private university free for church members and use offerings to maintain the school.

He went on to advise the clergyman to stop paying people working in the church since they’re doing it for God.
“Pastor Adeboye, good evening, Sir. Lege Miami is my name on social media. I advocate for the youths, and someone contacted me saying he wants to pay his school fees. I asked him which church he was going and he said Redeemed. I know you own a school, and it’s due to the money your church members are contributing.
“Please don’t be offended. Can’t your church members be going to school for free? And the money being contributed to your church should be used to maintain the school. Daddy, please, some of us that your members are begging haven’t eaten.
“Those who are working in your church and are collecting money from you should be banned if they can’t work freely for God.
Don’t be offended, sir. Members of Redeem Christian Church, please don’t be offended too,” Lege Miami said in Yoruba.

@kmighty007: “The truth is always bitter, I am a redeem member and I do say this, if medium class or poor members of RCCG can’t afford the school named RCCG,been built by RCCG, managed by RCCG, it means the church have a long way to learn from the British, because most of the leaders in the RCCG pass through free education by the British colony who brought Christianity to us, it is better to scrab the school let’s focus on the church aspect or renamed the school, we should knw that RCCG doesn’t have a school, this also go to winners members.”

You didn’t vote your pastors into power, they were called by God and technically, the only person they answer to is God. All these wasted energy in the wrong direction, confused set of human beings. Do you pay tithe to your Pastor or to God? But the people who you voted into power who are supposed to be accountable to you, you leave them chasing the wind and sentiments. Shey Una dey enjoy the economy, continue your fruitless fight until you can no longer afford the data you waste looking for social media justice.”
@afcom_: “How do they pay teaching and non teaching staff?”
