Videos circulating on social media had shown NDLEA officials attempting to apprehend the artistes, and it was widely believed that Mohbad was among those arrested.

Femi Babafemi, spokesman for the agency, said a report by an online medium, which quoted the names of the six arrested suspects as Oniyide Azeez (Zinoleesky), Owoeye Michael (m), Abimbola Ogbe (m), Dominica Chinwe (f), Olaolohun Shubomi Mariam (f) and Ibrahim Alawo (m), was accurate.

He warned those circulating the news to desist from spreading falsehood.

Netizens react

@Arc: “The same NDLEA made him ambassador after the raid probably after his fellow drug lord was selected as president.”

@DE Pepe: “We are watching them.”

@Sabinews: “We haven’t forgotten the full story. There is alot of conspiracy underground. Before he was killed, some moves were already made to cover up. These people have already infiltrated the government so its not going to be easy to catch the killer of Mohbad.”

@Blaq Prince: “All eyes on NDLEA.”

@Iyawo Target: “What about the nurses that injected him, no body is saying anything about the hospital.”

@Moipone Mogodi: “The same NDLEA that paraded them as their ambassadors?”
