Threapleton began her acting career at the age of 14 when she was featured as Helene in the movie, A Little Chaos. She also starred as Alma in the 2020 Italian film, Shadows, and Rose in the 2022 American television series, Dangerous Liaisons.
In 2022, Threapleton starred alongside her mother, Winslet, in I Am Ruth from the Channel 4 I Am… anthology series. Winslet later revealed that she was “blown away” by Threapleton’s performance and that she “didn’t need my help at all”.
The mother-daughter duo walked the red carpet together at the 2023 BAFTA Awards. Winslet went ahead and won the “Best Actress” BAFTA award while I Am Ruth won the “Best Single Drama” BAFTA.
According to Winslet, her daughter’s different last name helped her build a career independently.
