On Saturday, 11th March 2023, Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi became the first player to reach 300 club assists.
The milestone was accomplished by Messi after assisting teammate Kylian Mbappe in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Brest in the French League 1.

Coincidentally, Ronaldinho of Barcelona received his first of many assists from Messi in 2005 while donning the number 30 jersey.
Yet wearing the same jersey number in 2023, the Argentina captain gave Mbappe the 300th milestone assist of his professional career.

At the Stadium Francis-Le Blé, Mbappe escaped the offside trap to receive a through ball from Messi in the 90th minute and then around goalkeeper Marco Bizot to put the ball into an empty net to give PSG the victory over Brest.
Messi, a former Barcelona forward, now has 13 Ligue 1 assists this season and has 31 assists across all competitions for PSG.
