BBNaija reality TV star, Mercy Eke has issued a public apology to ‘No Loose Guard’ housemate, Onyeka, following provocative posts made from her social media account.
Eke clarified that the posts, which sparked controversy among fans, were made by a handler and did not reflect her personal views.

The incident unfolded after the handler engaged in online drama related to the Big Brother Naija show, particularly the ongoing tension between returning housemates and current participants. The timing of the controversy, which coincided with Eke’s birthday, left the former Big Brother Naija winner frustrated.
In a tweet addressing the situation, Eke expressed disappointment, stating, “Can’t believe I’m waking up to this on my birthday. A handler that was supposed to post my birthday content and reply to birthday wishes was involving herself in BBN drama, and now I have to deal with this mess?”
She reiterated that she had moved on from Big Brother Naija and was disheartened by the unprofessional conduct of the handler, especially considering the posts involved Onyeka, a housemate she admires. “I have left everything BBN behind for Christ’s sake! And seeing such silly opinions, especially about one of the housemates I like, is upsetting,” she added.
Eke also chose not to publicly identify the handler, citing the need to shield her from fans’ backlash. “The only reason I’m not tagging this person’s main page is to avoid her getting bullied by fans, because this is highly unprofessional,” she noted.
The reality star concluded her statement with a heartfelt apology to Onyeka’s supporters, calling the posts “embarrassing” and reiterating that they did not represent her thoughts or feelings
