Who is Mattheo Riddle?
Mattheo Riddle is a fan-made character in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. Also known as Matthew Thomas Riddle, he is the first son of Tom Marvolo Riddle Jr., famously known as Lord Voldemort, and Bellatrix Lestrange, one of Voldemort’s most loyal followers.

Mattheo Riddle origin
Riddle was born on December 29, 1991. He is the firstborn son of Voldemort and an older twin brother to Aliana by 10 seconds. Mattheo also has an elder step-sister, Mandy Lestrange, who shares the same mother but not the same father. As a result, the siblings did not know they were related until much later in life.
What happened to Mattheo Riddle?
Mattheo was sent to Hogwarts to follow in his father’s footsteps. From 2002 to 2008, Mattheo’s time at Hogwarts was eventful. From confronting bullies and studying hexes to navigating complex relationships and personal dilemmas, Mattheo struggled to live up to his father’s name.
In his third year, Mattheo studied different hexes and jinxes to take revenge on his bullies. He also met a young Ravenclaw girl, and began bullying her while having a secret crush on her. Eventually, he killed his first victim, a bully named Richard Cattermole, which is deemed a “necessary” task to complete in following in his father’s footsteps. However, he felt immensely guilty and lashed out at other people.

In his fourth year, he became more friendly with Mandy Lestrange and also got into his first fight which pitted him and Mandy Aliana against Corwin Crouch, who was bullying Alex. They also learned about the Boggarts in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class for the first time. The fight came to a dangerous head after Mattheo teased Corwin again. Corwin lost his temper and stabbed Mattheo with a knife multiple times. Mattheo survived but decided to use the incident to blackmail Corwin, who was romantically linked to his sister, Ariana. Eventually, Corwin confessed to Ariana, thus ending Mattheo’s blackmail but sabotaging his relationship with Ariana too.
Meanwhile, Mattheo began to focus more on his studies and secretly teamed up with his crush, Ava Grange, for tutoring. He later asked her out and she agreed. So, they began to date in secret.
By his fifth year, Mattheo had begun to soften towards the muggle-borns. However, he concealed his change of heart, preferring to maintain his reputation as a bully. By his sixth year, Mattheo’s and Corwin’s hatred for each other had escalated into a full-blown war. By his seventh year, had mastered a variety of skills, including Parseltongue, Legilimency, wandless magic, non-verbal magic and Occlumency.
Meanwhile, Mattheo’s relationship with Ava continued to blossom to the point that they became engaged and eventually got married, fours after graduating from Hogwarts. The couple welcomed a son, Thomas Smith Riddle.
Eventually, Ava was murdered, making Mattheo a widower.
