Luis Castillo biography

Born in 1992, Luis Castillo has emerged as a prominent figure in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a professional baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. He made his MLB debut in 2017 with the Cincinnati Reds and has quickly made a name for himself in the league as he has earned the honour of being a two-time All-Star.

Influenced by his idol Pedro Martínez, Castillo, like his role model, employs a low 3/4 pitching delivery. His arsenal includes a highly effective changeup, considered one of the best in the Major Leagues. Complemented by a fastball that consistently clocks in at 96-97 mph and a slider, Castillo possesses a diverse range of pitches.
