Manchester City and Liverpool drew 1-1 at Anfield Stadium on Sunday, with goals from John Stones and Alexis MacAllister, respectively.
Manchester City took the lead on the 23rd minutes through an unlikely source as John Stones rounded off a clever corner routine, tapping home from Kevin De Bruyne’s delivery.

Dominik Szoboszlai could have done better with a close-range header that soared over, and Luis Diaz pulled a low effort barely wide from 20 yards as the Reds failed to equalise before the break.
However, it only took five minutes after halftime for Alexis MacAllister to level the score, finishing from the penalty spot after Ederson fouled Darwin Nunez.

That led to Liverpool piling on the pressure, and they had chance after chance to take the lead, with Diaz in particular squandering some massive opportunities, while Stefan Ortega, who replaced the injured Ederson, denied Nunez.
There was still time for Jeremy Doku to hit the post at the opposite end, but both clubs had to settle for a point, leaving Arsenal top of the standings by goal difference with 10 games remaining.
The tie helped Arsenal maintain first place in the league rankings, following a 2-1 victory over Brentford on Saturday night. Though the Reds have the same number of points, Mikel Arteta’s side lead by seven goals.
