Reacting to the reports, Obidi said, “I have not been denied citizenship; with 6 million followers InstaBlog, you need to do more fact-checking before you post fake news; you owe it to the public.
“My application was considered abandoned as I moved to my new home, and they could not reach me. Thank you all for the kind messages. Love you.”

@oluwakemi._o: “But the public doesn’t have to know about this. Abi this one nah content too?”
@chaz_ogbu_: “US citizenship is not always about “try again later” USCIS barely makes mistakes on this one. If they deny you, it’s going to be a rigorous process on another attempt or correction. It’s not lottery. Sometimes you’ll have to remain with your green card for donkey years before another attempt. Depending on the reason for denial, even a lawyer will ask you if you’re okay with just having a green card. All in all, best wishes.”
@modesolami: “She wasn’t denied, her case was abandoned, definitely because they didn’t respond to a letter that was sent . She has an option to reopen within 180 days. Stop spreading fake news abeg.”
@uncle_jeff_official2: “You go dey fight your helper? I dey laugh.”
@sandraiheuwa: “Get a good immigration lawyer that can help you. Abandoned if I’m correct doesn’t mean you were denied I think it means you weren’t corresponding to their messages maybe you didn’t change your address? Usually you will have to report change of address as federal mails doesn’t get forwarded to the new address. Call the department of homeland security to explain they might be able to reopen it or how to move forward.”
