Singer Korede Bello has addressed his decision to part ways with Mavins Records, the label he was signed to from 2014 to 2021.
In an interview with Hip TV, Bello shared that his departure was driven by the need for personal and artistic growth.

“I reached a point where I needed to reevaluate my personal evolution and artistic direction,” Bello explained.
He described feeling like a mere asset rather than an artist, emphasizing the necessity for self-reflection and a deeper understanding of his purpose. “I started feeling like a product at Mavins Records, solely there to generate revenue,” he added.
Bello further noted the pitfalls of focusing excessively on commercial success and the constant pursuit of hits. “Chasing the next big thing often makes you lose sight of what truly matters,” he said, highlighting the cycle many artists find themselves trapped in.
