A Nigerian artist, Uzo Njoku (@uzoart) has shared her discovery about a man she’s been seeing, revealing a stark contrast between his online behavior and gentlemanly demeanor.

Uzo said she stumbled on the man’s X account, where she found retweets advocating for traditional and submissive women, and content that promoted putting women “in their place.”

This was a far cry from the man she thought she knew.

“I found the Twitter of the guy that I’ve been seeing and his retweets don’t match what I’m experiencing,” Uzo tweeted, expressing her dismay. “Is this witchcraft?”

For four months, Uzo had been her unapologetic self, and the man had praised her strength and independence. However, his online actions told a different story.

Unable to confront the hypocrisy, Uzo decided to “disappear” from the relationship.

“I’ve been monitoring that account for 2 months now, hoping I’ll see a change,” she explained.

Uzo clarified that everyone is entitled to their preferences, but it’s crucial to align actions with words.
