Big Brother Naija season four winner and entrepreneur Mercy Eke has revealed how the murky waters of business nearly drove her out of the game.
The reality show star revealed this in a recent episode of Lilian’s podcast. Eke said the difficulties nearly forced her to close her clothing business.

She said at the time, the amount of money she was spending was more than what she realised from the business.
“Paying service charge. Paying seven million for one small place. You can’t even order things because of customs duties,” she said.
Eke said it was hard to pay salaries and foot other utility bills in her company.
“If I had known I wouldn’t have rushed into the business,” she added.

The brand influencer said her aim of starting a business is not just about making money but about helping the average Nigerian.
“It’s not about making money from it. It is just about doing what you love to do. I know one day it will pay off,” she said.

She appreciated her friends who stood by her during her tough moment.
“I have known my friends for like ten to fifteen years. They’ve seen me when I was a nobody and when things were rosy.
“It is these your friends that will be there. It is these your friends that will check on you,” she said.
