Popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth has revealed that he paid N32 million for a house in Lagos but was yet to be handed the property.
Basketmouth said the incident happened about 14 years ago and that he paid a real estate firm based in Nigeria’s centre of excellence, but they have not refunded him or given him ownership of the property.
The comedian took to his official Instagram handle to disclose that the real estate firm was involved in a legal battle with the funding bank for the project shortly after he made payment.
According to the microphone maestro, the company eventually resolved the court case but refused to refund or release the property to him.

Basketmouth made payment for the property in Prime Water View estate, Lagos, and added that after more than a decade, he was yet to even get a boys’ quarters from the company, but all he’s been getting is stories upon stories.
The comedian and actor asked his followers if they think he has been patient enough with the company.

Many friends of the comedian, especially fellow celebrities, took to the comments section to express their concern on the matter, with one @matthewohio saying, “80% of these real estate developers are all scammers. Instead of moving into your Ikoyi apartment, you will move into Ebutte Metta Magistrate court.”
Others said the comedian had exercised too much patience on the matter and advised him to call the company out so they could be dragged on social media.

Meanwhile, skabash.com previously reported a viral photo collage of Basketmouth and a puppy dog that surfaced online and generated numerous hilarious responses on social media.
Basketmouth could not help but also reposted the picture of the dog and himself placed side by side on his Instagram page with the caption “my haters are at it again.”
It is not uncommon for celebrity lookalikes to appear on social media, but in this case, the king of comedy was being compared to a distressed dog.
