She took to X to claim that she has over N100 million in her account with the bank. Mercy explained that she opened the account because the bank sponsored a reality show she won.

Mercy Lambo, as she is also called, expressed regret for trusting her account manager, who encouraged her to invest her money in the bank despite knowing about its issues.

Mercy Eke mentioned that she has reached out to the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Commission (NDIC) to try to get her money back after Heritage Bank’s liquidation process began.

However, she also raised concerns about whether she would be able to retrieve her funds, as the commission initially stated that the refund process would start with depositors with N5 million or less.
