An HR professional has shed insight into how job seekers rebuffed a generous offer to give themselves a treat during a job interview conducted in a restaurant in Ikoyi.
According to the HR personnel, who interviewed five candidates in a casual dining setting, none of the candidates ordered food despite the relaxed environment and the encouragement to treat the meeting as a “first date.”

The HR personnel humorously noted that they enjoyed a hearty meal while the candidates refrained from ordering, even though the company had approved a budget of N35,000 to N40,000 per person.
Remarkably, two candidates chose to order water. Commenting on the situation, one user said, “I would definitely order food but keep the price moderate if given the option. Life isn’t that hard.”
