Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface has expressed excitement following his first-ever appearance in the UEFA Champions League, representing Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface played a crucial role in Leverkusen’s dominant 4-0 victory over Feyenoord at Stadion Feyenoord in Rotterdam on Thursday night.

The 23-year-old forward was on the field for 62 minutes before being substituted for Patrick Schick.
Reflecting on the milestone, Boniface shared how the moment was a long-held dream come true.
He fondly recalled his early years in Akure, Nigeria, where he would pay 30 naira to watch Champions League matches at the local 323 Army Barracks.
“From paying 30 naira to watch Champions League football back then at 323 Army Barracks in Akure to playing my first Champions League game. Proud of this moment,” he wrote.
