Portugal were 4-0 winners over the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly match on Thursday at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.
The Qatar 2022-bound Europeans dominated the game from start to finish.
Despite being without superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal saw off Nigeria with ease.
Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, scored twice in the first half as Portugal took a 2-0 lead. He tapped in Diogo Dalot’s ninth-minute pass to put his side ahead and show the Nigerians a sign of things to come.
He grabbed his second of the night in the 35th from the penalty spot, sending Francis Uzoho in the wrong direction.
The Super Eagles could have pulled one back, but Emmanuel Dennis, who was subbed on in the second half, wasted his chance from a spot-kick. His attempt was pushed onto the post by Rui Patricio.
Goncalo Ramos then scored a third for Portugal in the 82nd minute, his first goal for his country on his debut. Raphael Guerreiro put it on a plate for the Benfica man to finish into an empty end, with Uzoho helpless.
Joao Mario rounded off scoring for Portugal in the 84th minute with his first goal in four years for his country.
