Biography
Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, was born on February, 5,1996, in Ogun state. He spent his childhood in Abeokuta along with his parents and siblings.
Fireboy attended top private institutions in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, for his elementary and senior school education.
He sought admission to the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, after graduating from high school in 2012 with strong scores in his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations. He studied the English Language at the Obafemi Awolowo University.
Fireboy was raised in a Christian environment. His parents’ faith instilled in him solid morals and a passion for music. He initially developed a sweet place for the church choir and got fascinated with composing music because he and his parents were regular churchgoers. While schooling at the Obafemi Awolowo University, He became more serious about music. He would compose tunes whenever he wasn’t engaged with schoolwork.

Jealous appeared on YBNL Nation’s joint album YBNL Mafia Family in 2018 before being re-released on March 25, 2019. African harmonies are mixed with country and soul music influences in this tune. Fireboy DML released the romantic track “What If I Say” on June 14, 2019. It was produced by Pheelz, who used percussion, ambient synth harmonies, and a drum riff to create the track. TG Omori directed the visuals for What If I Say. On August 1, 2019, Fireboy DML dropped a new single called King, in which he affirms his value to his love interest. TG Omori directed the music video for King, which features Fireboy and his love interest in a rose petal-adorned Rolls Royce and scenes of him singing during a fashion show with models walking down a runway.
On November 29, 2019, Fireboy DML released his debut studio album, Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps, which was initially slated for release on November 25.
