Nigerian record producer, Don Jazzy has provided fans and followers with wise financial advice using a famous parable.
Don Jazzy took to his Instastory on Friday, 19 August 2022, to share the nugget of wisdom.
Referencing the biblical parable of the ‘Prodigal son’, Don Jazzy explained that until a person starts paying bills, one will never appreciate the financial help received in the past.
Advising against waste and abuse of resources, he noted that the action of the ‘prodigal son’ to return home to his father will not be understood until one starts paying rent.
In his words;
“Until you start paying house rent, you’ll never understand why the prodigal son came back.”
The parable of the prodigal son was told by Jesus and recorded in the book of Luke.
The story is of a wayward younger son of a father of two who after demanding his inheritance proceeds to squander all of it, only to return home broke.
His father was however kind enough to receive him back.
The music executive’s instructive use of the parable points to financial responsibility amid a global economic crisis.

For a brief moment, he suspended the worry of finding perfect angles as he held his camera in one hand and took on a new role.
