Manchester United needed 29 shots to defeat Everton 2-0 in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils enjoyed possession throughout the game and laid siege to the Everton defence, forcing Jordan Pickford to saves to keep the scoreline level.

However, Scott McTominay blasted past the England number one in the 36th minute to put Manchester United ahead.

Anthony Martial made it two after Seamus Coleman’s error gifted Marcus Rashford the ball before he supplied Martial.

Although Manchester United grabbed all three points, they lost Rashford to injury. The in-form striker clutched his groin after reaching for a high ball and had to be substituted.

Manchester United are fourth on the table, with 56 points, while Everton are 16th with 27 points.
