Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes scored a 91st-minute winner against Fulham to hand his side all three points and alleviate the pressure on manager Erik ten Hag.

The game had looked destined for a 0-0 draw before the Portuguese midfielder drove a low shot past keeper Bernd Leno.

Manchester United thought they had taken the lead in the eighth minute through Scott McTominay, but his strike was ruled out for offside after a Video Assistant Referee review.

At the other end, Andre Onana kept United level with two saves from Harry Wilson and Joao Palhinha.

Harry Maguire was also immense for the Red Devils despite suffering a head injury; he soldiered on to ensure Ten Hag’s men kept a clean sheet.

With the victory, Manchester United are eighth on the Premier League table with 18 points, while Fulham are 14th with 12 points pending the results of other matches to be played later today.
