Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard took advantage of Manchester United’s poor defending to secure a 1-0 victory on Sunday, propelling Mikel Arteta’s team to the top of the Premier League table ahead of Manchester City.

This win, only Arsenal’s second at Old Trafford in their last 17 visits, places them at 86 points with one game remaining in the closely-contested title race.

Meanwhile, defending champions Manchester City, with 85 points and two matches left to play, remain in a strong position to retain their title.

Trossard found the net in the 20th minute after Kai Havertz effortlessly moved into space on the right side and delivered a precise pass into the box for Trossard to convert.

The match’s intensity increased in the final few minutes, with Manchester United’s goalkeeper Andre Onana making crucial saves to deny substitute Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice.

With two games remaining, United are currently in eighth place and are three points behind sixth-placed Newcastle as they aim to secure a spot in European competition next season.
