Nigerian singer, Spyro has taken to Instagram to express his views on the #EndBadGovernance protests, suggesting a temporary halt in entertainment activities for the mass activism’s sake.
In an Instagram story, the artist emphasized the severity of what led to the protests, describing current tides as a time when the country is “bleeding,” with everyone feeling the impact.

Spyro criticized the continued posting of entertainment content during this period, deeming it insensitive.
He highlighted the struggles faced by the average Nigerian and harped on the need to use social media platforms to amplify the voices of the affected.

“I feel the pain of the average man and I don’t intend to stay silent,” he wrote. He encouraged everyone with a platform to speak out, expressing hope that the government would respond to the public’s distress and take concrete actions for the people’s welfare.
Additionally, Spyro made a passionate plea to religious leaders, urging them to play an active role in addressing the current challenges. He referenced biblical times when spiritual leaders stood up against government injustices, calling for similar action today. “This is not a time to pray; it is a time to act,” Spyro asserted, invoking the biblical phrase, “faith without works is dead.”
