The son of Muhammadu Sanusi II, the reinstated Emir of Kano, Ashraf Adam, has married his partner, Sultana Nazif, in a grand ceremony at the National Mosque in Abuja.
The wedding was followed by a glamorous reception.
The couple shared moments from their special day on social media, giving a glimpse into the joyous occasion.
Ashraf, one of the sons of the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor and Emir of Kano, wore his native Babban Riga and cap before changing into a two-piece black and white suit.
His bride, Sultana, daughter of Senator Suleiman Nazif from Bauchi, wore a flowy heavily beaded white dress alongside a veil with lots of pearls.
The union had been announced earlier in July, with pre-wedding photos shared on social media, garnering congratulatory messages from well-wishers.
This wedding comes after the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, was reinstated on May 23 by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, following his previous deposition by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in 2020.
