Chelsea took the lead in the 25th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by Palace’s Marc Guehi.

Guehi lost possession after an ambitious forward run, allowing Chelsea to counter swiftly. Nicolas Jackson finished off the move, slotting home from close range following a precise pass from Cole Palmer.

Despite being outplayed in the opening 45 minutes, Palace regrouped after the break and found their rhythm. Eze leveled the score in the 53rd minute, curling a rebound into the net from outside the box after Cheick Doucoure’s initial shot was blocked.

Both teams pushed for a winner in the latter stages of the match. Chelsea’s Levi Colwill came close, while Palace’s Daichi Kamada forced a fine save.

However, despite over eight minutes of stoppage time, neither side managed to find the decisive goal, and the match ended in a draw.
