A Nigerian Twitter user, @Pearl_Oladipo, has recounted what happened when a thief tried to steal her family’s generator in the night.
In her tweet, she said her family was about to start evening prayers when their generator suddenly shut down.
Her father then went to the window to check the gen and find out the problem.

She said he spotted a figure in the shadows attempting to steal their generator.
In a bold display of faith, her father invoked the name of Jesus, commanding the thief to drop his property.
Meanwhile, her concerned mother cautioned her husband against confronting the thief who might be armed.
Nevertheless, the father remained resolute, saying he worked hard to buy the generator and wouldn’t allow anyone to take it away.
Determined to reclaim his generator, her father grabbed a whistle and began sounding an alarm, summoning neighbours.
According to her, after a brief conversation with a neighbour over the phone, her father and the neighbour decided to search around for the generator.
To their astonishment, the generator was found in front of the family’s fence.
She noted that her father built an iron gate in their backyard afterwards to secure their compound.
