Nigerian singer and songwriter, Seyi Shay, has accepted a marriage proposal from her fiancée whom she is unwilling to unmask just yet.
The music star announced her engagement during an interview with Beats FM.
“Some guy gave it to me and said, ‘would you marry me?’ It’s real diamonds. Diamonds are forever”, she said when asked about the diamond ring on her finger.
“I’d already evolved. I was already glowing before I met the guy. He just added to the glow.”
In 2020, the singer had broken up with someone else to whom she was engaged to.

The songstress used the opportunity to talk about how her fans had frequently put her under pressure to get married.
“Yeah, pressure to get married; have a boyfriend; have babies. That’s all before the pressure to release a new single sometimes. Crazy right? Pressure to share more butt pictures. But it’s good,” she said.
“It’s part of it. It’s what keeps me gingered. But I don’t burn myself out; I don’t overdo.”

Shay, 36, released her debut studio album ‘’Seyi or Shay’ in November 2015. The album was supported by the promotional singles ‘Irawo’, ‘Ragga Ragga’, ‘Right Now’, and ‘Murda’ featuring Patoranking and Shaydee. In January 2021, she signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group, France division, in partnership with Universal Music France.
She has worked with top musicians including Justin Timberlake, Brian Michael Cox, Darey, Bilal, Michelle Williams, Chip, Rob Knoxx, H-Money, and Cameron Wallace.
