Tracey Eboigbodin, a Nigerian chef that hails from Edo State, was recently crowned the winner of the 11th series of MasterChef, Italy, an international cooking show.

The Italian embassy in Nigeria collaborated with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission and Fraser Suites, to celebrate Tracy Eboigbodin at the seventh edition of the annual week of the Italian cuisine in the world, which recently took place in Abuja.

Tracey, who embraced her passion for cooking, worked as a waitress in Italy before enrolling in a culinary school. She ventured into the international cooking competition that is replicated in about 60 countries after she moved to Italy 17 years ago.
“I refused to be limited by the stereotype of being Nigerian and a woman from Edo, as we are often times linked to prostitution and trafficking, she also stated that people focus more on the negatives than the positive impact that is being made by Nigerians,” she said.
