The Most Reverend Daniel C. Okoh is the President of the Organization of African Instituted Churches, General Overseer of the Christ Holy Church International, also known as Nation Builders, and a former vice president of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

In July 2022, Daniel Okoh was elected President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Biography

Rev. Daniel Chukwudumebi Okoh was born in Kano to Christian parents on November 12, 1963. He is a native of Ndoni, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Rivers State. He is married to Ngozi, and together they have four children. Archbishop Daniel Okoh attended Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha, Anambra State.

He earned his degree in political science and education with a second-class upper division from the University of Port-Harcourt in 1988. He then received a diploma in theology from Christ Holy Church Seminary in Onitsha.

He leads his denomination in ecumenical relations with other denominations in the body of Christ as the General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church International, an African Independent Church. He engages in dialogue with followers of other faiths for harmonious coexistence and long-term development.

Most Rev. Daniel Okoh has held the following roles for more than 20 years while actively participating in ecumenical relations and interfaith discourse both inside and outside of Nigeria: International Chairman of the Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), National President of the OAIC (Nigeria Region) from 2005 to 2014, National Vice-President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (2007–2013), a former member of the Board of Directors of the Inter-Faith HIV/AIDS Coalition of Nigeria, Member of the Governing Council of Good News Theological College and Seminary Accra, Ghana, Member of the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC).

From 2000 to 2003, he was the sole African delegate on the steering committee of the International Forum on Multicultural Ministry. The Mission and Evangelism Team of the World Council of Churches developed and supported the International Forum on Multicultural Ministry. 

He was one of the six delegates representing the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at the 2005 National Political Reform Conference, which the Federal Government of Nigeria hosted. From 2009 to 2011, the Most Rev. Daniel Okoh sat on the National Orientation Agency (NOA) board as an institutional representative of the Christian Association of Nigeria.

Over the years, Daniel Okoh, a de-tribalized Nigerian, has acquired friends from all different racial and religious backgrounds. Discussions and initiatives that advance sustainable development and harmonious coexistence among all peoples are welcomed, and he takes part in them.

Daniel Okoh was elected to lead the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in July 2022. Five blocs make up CAN, the leading Christian group in the nation. He was the first OAIC member of the Christian Association of Nigeria to hold the position.
