A Nigerian lady with the handle @Oluwalosheyii who moved abroad four months ago, took to her TikTok to complain about the high electricity tariff in the United Kingdom.

Sharing the video, she revealed her prepaid meter, saying she just got an electricity unit for £10 (N5,688.55), and it was already finishing really fast.

She said that this would be the fifth time she’ll be buying the same unit in one month, which puts the cost at £50 (N28, 442.75).

To demonstrate how fast the electricity finishes, she turned on the tap for hot water in her kitchen for some seconds and showed people how many units it consumed.

She added that if she uses the water for a minute, everything could be gone.

The lady further appealed to Nigerians in the UK to please tell her what she might be doing wrong. Some who commented on the clip mentioned that the energy consumption of the heater is quite high.
