Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, better known as Burna Boy, a multi-award-winning Nigerian musician, has made history by selling out the 40,000-capacity Paris La Defence Arena in France and becoming the first African artist to sell out a European stadium.

The self-dubbed “African Giant” is on his “Love Damini” Tour, and on his world trek, has broken record numbers.

He shut down Paris on Saturday, May 20, 2023, and became the first (and currently only) African musician to sell out a stadium in Europe.

His concert in the Paris La Defence Arena in France event drew the arena’s capacity of 40,000 people.

Highlights from the performance have begun making rounds on social media, and the Africa Facts Zone reported that the Nigerian singer was the first African artiste to sell out a European stadium.

On Saturday, the artist, who announced that the next leg of his “Love Damini” tour will begin in October 2023, took centre stage and treated fans to some of his best songs.

Burna Boy has established himself as a world-class musician with sold-out concerts in some of the world’s most prestigious locations, including Madison Square Garden, the O2 Arena, the Toyota Centre Texas, and a number of other sites throughout Europe.

On June 3, 2023, the Grammy winner will become the first African to headline a gig at London’s 60,000-person capacity London Stadium.
