Burna boy addresses club shooting rumors in new album ‘I told them’, drags Nigerians  1

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa, a prominent Afrobeat musician, has finally addressed his alleged involvement in a shooting incident at Cubana Club a year ago through his latest album “I Told Them.”

One track on the album titled “Thanks,” featuring American rapper J. Cole, stands out as it directly confronts the rumours surrounding Burna Boy’s supposed role in the Cubana shooting.

The incident, which occurred in 2022, involved Burna Boy allegedly shooting a man because he wanted to speak with the man’s wife. The musician remained silent at the time, allowing speculation to circulate. However, during a January 2023 concert, he addressed the rumours for the first time, criticizing those who wished to hinder his success.

Now in the song “Thanks,” Burna Boy collaborates with J. Cole to assert his demand for recognition for his contributions to his country.

Part of the song says;
