President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, spokesman for the Northern Elders Forum, as Special Adviser on Political Matters in the Office of the Vice President.
Baba-Ahmed is the elder brother of Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party’s vice presidential candidate and Peter Obi’s running mate in the presidential election on February 25, 2023.

Announcing his appointment in a tweet on Monday, Baba-Ahmed said he is honoured to be allowed to contribute to the country’s development.
“It is time to make it public that I have accepted the call to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to the VP, @KShettim.
